Pixel Fiction "The Letter"
Carol, who blogs at Carol's Little World wrote the beginning of a short story and has invited readers to attempt to write an ending for it. I have written a version, and I hope some others will attempt one as well. Check out Carol's beginning at her site (click on Carol's Little World to read the beginning and also to see some of her cool photography). Write your own ending. If you would like to read my attempt, click on Mything Links. Try to write one yourself! : ) You will have to scroll down to it, if you are late on the scene.

I read the story briefly...Far too long for busy people...
Idea is good but stories should be short, specially if others take part...
I'm not very positive today, sorry - we've had terrible sand storm whole day & it means cleaning!!! argh!
I love it Mythos! Great ending and an unexpected twist. You've done a fine job. This was a hard one too. (Next time I'll go easier on you, I promise.)
@BLOGitse, we're not trying to make the stories be a specific length, we're going for quality. It's literary fiction, kind of like something to savor. Not what you'd typically find on a blog post but makes us flex our "writing" muscles a bit.
I am going to write a very short story just for you Blogitse! ; ) I will post it tomorrow. Glad you liked it Carol!! I had an alternate idea about Bea and the mail man but decided not to go there!
Carol & mytho; this morning I printed the story...
I had my morning coffee outside, red the story - I liked it!
And of course everybody can write how/what/long/short... I meant it was too long for ME at the time/feeling...and then I had to comment like that...Shame on me!
Sorry I didn't say that clear: too long for ME, and that's my problem NOT anybody's else! Pls don't hate me! Friends?
Blogitse....I did not take offense at all, and doubt Carol did either...by the way, have you shaken all the sand from your hair since that sandstorm? : )
(friends...of course!)
Good - we're friends!
Hopefully Carol thinks the same...
Sand? hair? What are you talking about?
hahahah
Yes, I had a shower! :-)
@BLOGitse, no worries. We're still friends. I promise the next one will be a faster read and a bit less "heavy." We're trying to mix them up a bit. This one was very "Grapes of Wrath" kind of intense. So far, we've had one psycho stalker/pulp fiction one, one romance, one "On the Road" style driving piece, and this "Grapes of Wrath"-ish one.
I also promise that one of them will be a country and western "hodown" type of....song! Just for Mythos!
Carol, I must inform you that a "hoe down" refers to an evening of lively song and dance and typically took place in a barn, whereas, a "ho down" has to do with a hooker who showed up at the hoe down and this usually takes place out behind the barn! Hee-Haw! : )
