Carnaval Passing By Me

(This is a spur-of-the-moment "creative collaboration" between BLOGitse and me this morning!)

The blue dancer swayed
Sweetly by,
And from her hands she flung
Red glowing rubies.

I reached out
And caught one
And held it in my palm.

It grew brighter and brighter
and became a brilliant light.

Smaller beads formed
Around it
In a spinning dance
Like natives
Around a fire.

One caught my eye
And took my breath away.
It was the planet
I live on.
