Oh! Rain!

Rolling thunder and dark clouds and rain today! Too little too late. Many things in my garden died off in the heatwave and drought of last month. I have thrown my doors and windows open and I am smelling the rain, and watching the rain, and listening to the rain.
This part of the country has been under drought conditions for over 5 years. So this is quite welcome. It will be inadequate and soon be over, but it is nice in the moment.

Purple Rain, by the looks of it. I feel a song coming on. But seriously, that 'just rained' smell is wonderful isn't it. (Something I know a lot about!) Hope you get enough of it to make a difference.

Lately, things don't seem the same.

Oh, rain. What's that? Been so long, I forgot. Please send some my way (it's like 105 down in Texas. 105 and the trees are whistling at the dogs again.)

your rain is different color than here or in Finland! :)

it would be great to have rain in Cairo too...it's dry, hot and sandy of course...

Have a good week!

I love the shots - they make me smile a happy smile and dream of Amsterdam ;)

Yeah, we have more rain than the last 5 summers put together here in Hungary.

Kuwait is covered in dust almost every day.

You have droughts.

Is the climate changing or do those scientists still act like it's normal and humans don't have a hand in it?
